The covers are constructed of thick laminar boards with beveled edges on the outer face. The textblock consists of twenty-four leaves of matte boards, each holding one albumen carte-de-visites per side, connected by v-hinges made of red textile. The leaves are adhesive-bound. The endpapers are white moiré ribbed embossed papers lined with plain paper.
