Some items in the collection were affected by a water incident and showed signs of potential mold activity. These items were isolated in plastic bags and placed in a freezer to inactivate mold. After a period of freezing, the mold and its residue were removed using a vacuum fitted with a HEPA filter and aspirators. The treatment was conducted with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and inside a fume hood. This treatment was completed with assistance from Anna Sielaff, a student technician.
